Borrowing from Other Libraries

We are a member of the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium (MVLC), which is made up of thirty-six libraries in Massachusetts. You may use your Tewksbury library card at any of these libraries.

  • You can search the MVLC database of more than one million titles using HIP, MVLC's online catalog, from the library or from home via the Internet.
  • If the book you are looking for is in circulation, you may reserve it in person, by phone, or via the catalog. (For instructions on reserving items through HIP, please click here.)
  • If we do not own a book you need, you may request to borrow it via the inter-library loan system, and we may be able to borrow it from another library. Please ask at the circulation desk if you cannot find the material you want in our catalog.

We belong to the Northeastern Massachusetts Regional Library System (NMRLS), and offer reciprocal arrangements with public libraries throughout the Commonwealth. In-depth reference services are available through the NMRLS Regional Reference Center, located at Andover's Memorial Hall Library.
