The Jury Decides: Lizzie Borden and the Forty Whacks
Held at the Tewksbury Public Library March 2, 2008

Gloucester Hornpipe and Clog Society
Saturday - March 15, 2008 - 2:00 PM

The Gloucester Hornpipe & Clog Society plays the lively traditional music of Ireland that has delighted listeners for centuries. This group of masterful musicians sings fine old ballads and sprightly songs of life in days gone by, led by the lovely voices of Lynn Noel and Diane Taraz. John Berger's fiddle, Nancy Koch's accordion and Jonathan Gilbert's flute create stirring sets of Irish jigs and reels, backed by guitar and dulcimer. The band's founder, David Rosen, adds the age-old delights of bones, spoons, and bodhran (Irish drum), plus a unique instrument called the pogo-cello. Seating is limited, and the show starts at 2:00 pm in the meeting room. FREE tickets are available at the Reference Desk or by calling (978) 640-4490 ext.207. Visit the band's website: http://www.hornpipe.org
