Mission & Vision- Borrowing - Meeting Rooms - Internet - Collection Development - The Library's MissionThe public library of Tewksbury seeks to provide the Town's residents with a wide variety of materials, resources and services. Our vision is to empower Tewksbury's residents by developing, promoting, and delivering lifelong learning opportunities and to culturally enrich the entire community. We endeavor to combine traditional roles of providing a quality book collection and customer service oriented atmosphere, with current technological advances in the retrieval of information. Approved by the Board of Library Trustees The Library's VisionOur vision is to provide excellent library services for the residents of the Town of Tewksbury. Our strategic plan for Fiscal Years 2003 through 2007 creates the framework for the attainment of excellence. It is based on three fundamental assumptions:
Imbedded in the third statement are the assumptions that (1) excellent public libraries continually monitor their results and that (2) change is an integral part of their organizational culture. We plan to incorporate the above guidelines in all we do. - top of page - |
