Summer Reading is here and we've got a program for everyone!

Sign up for both the Children's Summer Reading Program and for the Teen Summer Reading Challenge begin on June 25th and the programs run through August 10th.Click on the links below to find out more about the programs:

  • Children's Summer Reading Program for kids entering Preschool (age 3) to students entering 5th grade. Earn beads for every 15 minutes spent reading and earn raffle tickets for every hour read to try and win one of over 40 prizes. Click here for more information.
  • Teen Summer Reading Challenge for students entering grades 6 to 12. Create playlists of different challenge activities to win prizes and earn raffle tickets. Click here for more about this program.
  • Adult Summer Reading for ages 18 and up: simply write down the title of a book you just read to enter that week's raffle (prizes and raffle tickets are at the Front Desk). It's already started, so get reading! Here's a link to some great booklists for adults that we've created if you need something new to read.

We've also got the summer reading lists for a couple of other area schools. You can see those on the Required Summer Reading Lists that the Teen department has put together.

Lost your summer reading report sheets? While YES, we do have reference copies of the lists and assignments, the schools have not provided us with extra copies to give away. You can print them out from online or photocopy ours, or check with your school's office to see if they have extras.
